The Alden Farmers Market has become our Saturday gathering place. Old-timers & newcomers alike remark on the warm, friendly atmosphere. Numerous special events provide entertainment, education & fun! Local non-profit groups have information tables & also sell coffee, cold drinks, pizza, hot dogs & snacks. Talented high-schoolers & middle-schoolers are showcased along with professional & semi-pro acts. Many children's activites. Pie-baking, zucchini decorating & flower arranging contests encourage participation. Kids & Pets Costume Parade caps off season. Old Ames Plaza location on Broadway (Rt 20) provides huge parking lot & very easy access. Sponsored by Alden Chamber of Commerce.
